Course Information:
- A course is scheduled at each of the three locations (Galway, Cork and Dublin) on every set of dates shown above. Simply select your preferred location when booking.
- All courses are delivered over 6 days across two consecutive weekends.
- Fridays: Live online classroom sessions via Zoom (evening).
- Saturdays & Sundays: Face-to-face practical and classroom training at your chosen course venue.

The NPLQ is a nationally and internationally recognised qualification required for you to work as a lifeguard at a swimming pool.
NPLQ Prerequisites! Every Candidate, prior to the commencement of training for the NPLQ must:
Be 16 years of age.
Jump / dive into deep water.
Swim 50 metres in less than 50 seconds.
Swim 50 metres continuously side-stroke.
Tread water for 30 seconds.
Submerge to floor of the pool at the deepest part.
Climb out unaided without ladder / steps and where the pool design permits.
